Love Land

LOVE LAND was an interactive, community-building installation that involved regenerating a portion of land at The CORRIDOR Project as part of the ERTHWRX24 program. People gathered – in a communal act of renewal and regeneration – to plant native seedlings appropriate to the location. Each seedling was planted with a loving message handwritten onto biodegradable paper placed underneath it. It is hoped that, over time, the messages will decompose and ‘feed’ or ‘nourish’ the seedling into its growth. LOVE LAND offered an opportunity for participants to engage in a restorative act, where each seedling was symbolically infused with human love and care, a simple recognition of the power of human reciprocity with the natural world.
