Leaving Love is a site-specific installation originally presented as part of The Art of Giving at Retford Park (2018), with the Artists of the Round Yard.

The work comprises excerpts from real love letters, transcribed onto sheets of calico and sewn together with red thread. The thread acts as a visual and symbolic representation of connection, linking individual expressions of love into a collective tapestry of intimacy and longing.

By taking words originally written as private expressions of love and bringing them into a shared public space, Leaving Love invites audiences to consider the enduring power of love to connect us across time, distance and circumstance.

Leaving Love was also exhibited at Sculptures for Clyde (2019) and Sculptures at Killalea (2019).
